Upon submission of this form , all applicants are required to submit original, notarized or attested supporting documentation via email to scholarship@viu.edu. Samples of these documents can include transcripts, diplomas, certificates and test scores. Copies of these documents will not be accepted. All applications and supporting documents must be received by 12:00pm on the application deadline. No incomplete applications will be accepted.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Scholarships cannot be awarded to applicants who receive any other type of outside scholarship (Example: Government scholarships).
2. Cumulative GPA’s will not be rounded for eligibility requirements.
3. Students are eligible to be awarded one scholarship per semester.
4. Students who are awarded scholarships may combine their scholarship award with one other university sponsored discount (Example: VA Residency Discount)
5. All application materials must be received by the application deadline. Incomplete applications will automatically be denied.
6. There is no guarantee that a scholarship award will be made solely because the applicant is qualified.
7. Academic merit holds the most weight when reviewing most scholarship applications. Each application will be reviewed individually and in the case of a tie, the committee will rely on this hierarchy to make their award decisions.
8. I understand that this application will be active only for the semester in which I apply for the scholarship. If I wish to be considered for future scholarships, I understand that I must resubmit a scholarship application.
